Influenced and inspired by artists like Young Mc, Prince, Blackstreet and others it wasnt a big surprise Mark Bale soon got caught wearing white gloves and break-dance in front of his grandma. Maybe this incident in 1989, when house music conquered the clubs, was the point when he decided to focus on the music and not impress his grandma with way to big gloves and untalented moves. Listening to music the whole day, snatching into clubs he was too young to go to, he quickly became the new music lexicon for his friends and the girls just loved him because of his double tape deck.Entertaining people with his music choice, and technical skills, gaining experience in playing at many Events and Clubs in Germany – soon the Events and Clubs became bigger and bigger as well as his reputation as the magazine Prinz in cooperation with Becks Beer gave him an Award for Best Dj 2006/2007.

Right now, Mark is working on various projects and remixes with D.Lectro for many different global players and of course also on own material…like his new single “Bounce 4 me” on 17:44 Records which is released end of September 2010. Be sure to check back where things are going…

Listening to music the whole day, snatching into clubs he was too young to go to, he quickly became the new music lexicon for his friends and the girls just loved him because of his double tape deck.

Overwealmed from the audience reactions on different djs he watched playing, he more and more wanted to step into the club scene and become a Dj. Years later, at the spot where he wanted to be; entertaining people with his music choice, and technical skills, gaining experience in playing at many Events and Clubs in Germany – soon the Events and Clubs became bigger and bigger as well as his reputation as the magazine Prinz in cooperation with Becks Beer gave him an Award for Best Dj 2006/2007.

But that was not enough for Mark… It was more or less the beginning of a new chapter…
Over the years where he played with Djs like Shapeshifters, Tom Novy, Martin Solveig, Chuckie amongst many many others, the idea of creating his own vibes and becoming an artist –  like all the other big shots, was growing and growing. Constantly on the look out for a good and talented production partner he finally found John Voltaire in August 2008, a young and very talented producer and upcoming Dj from Berlin.

Lots of coffees, laughs and a couple of Pizza delivery calls from the studio later, the first tracks were made. Within the incredible short time of about 2 weeks promoting the tracks to chosen labels and artists, getting remarquable feedback from big players like DBN, Andy Caldwell, Inkfish and others, Kristoffer from Nellie Recordings (Sweden) finally saw his talent and signed “Tabaka” and “Happy Tears” for Marks first release to be dropped in february 2009!

Various Remixes as Bale & Voltaire for artists like DBN / TOMMY TRASH / MICHAEL FEINER on labels like Serial / WePLAY we´re made and got played by the big dogs of the industry. Right now, Mark is working on various projects and remixes with D.Lectro for many different global players and of course also on own material…like his new single “Bounce 4 me” on 17:44 Records which is released end of September 2010. Wer hätte das gedacht, inmitten unserer Spaßgesellschaft machen sich Künstler ernsthaft Gedanken über negative Geschehnisse wie die Ausbeutung des Schwarzen Kontinenten. Da nur darüber nachzudenken bekanntlich nicht ausreicht, wird nun gehandelt. ‘Kings Of Kigali’ ist die erste Auskopplung aus dem Charity Projekt ‘It Began In Africa’. Alle Erlöse dieses Projektes gehen an die Wohltätigkeitsorganisation Africa Childrens Choir. Mit den Erlösen werden Bauvorhaben wie Schulen, Krankenhäuser und Musikschulen in den ärmsten Regionen Africas unterstützt. Nachdem sich bereits Künstler wie Timo Maas, DJ Koze und viele weitere zu einem Beitrag auf der Compilation entschlossen haben, erscheint nun die erste Auskopplung von Tube & Berger und Juliet Sikora – den Initiatoren dieses Projektes auf Kittball, dem hauseigenen Label.

Decknews schickte hierzu ein paar Fragen nach Solingen, um bei den beiden Bikini BPM Acts Tube & Berger und Juliet Sikora nachzuhaken (www.decknews.de)

1. (all) Bei Charity Compilations hat man oft das Gefühl, es geht um Promo für den jeweiligen Artist. Wie kam es, dass Ihr Euch diesem Thema widmet und speziell diesen Chor unterstützt?
Die Problematik hinter so einem Charity Projekt ist uns bekannt, jedoch geht es hier um was anderes. Die Idee dafür entstand aus einem ganz anderen Hintergrund. Es entstand durch unsere gemeinsame Produktion “Kings of Kigali”. Als wir das benutzte Vocal klären wollten, sind auf den African Childrens Choir gestoßen, die in diesem Fall Besitzer dieser Vocals sind. Als wir uns mit dieser Organisation uns näher befasst haben, haben wir uns dazu entschieden die Einnahmen für die Kings of Kigali zu spenden, wir wollten schon immer ein Charity Projekt machen und nu ergab sich die Möglichkeit und es ist Zeit das die elektronische Szene was zurück gibt. Daraus entstand wiederum das Projekt “It began in Afrika” .

2. (TB) “Kings of Kigali” ist, wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe, die Auskopplung aus der Compilation “It began in Africa”. Von wem darf man hier Tracks erwarten?
Wir konnten zum Glück Künstler wie Timo Maas, Martin Eyerer, Format B, Ida Engberg, Namito, Daniel Steinberg für das Projekt begeistern. Ihr könnt also gespannt sein.

3. (JL) Wie kommt eigentlich dieser Connect zwischen Dir, Arndt und Marco zustande? Gemeinsame Wurzeln?
Durch einen Zufall, die Jungs haben mich eines Tages angerufen, ob ich für einen Track singen könnte, natürlich nicht. Mich will wirklich niemand singen hören. Ich habe aber zu der Zeit einen Produzenten gesucht. So kam das eine zum anderen und die Chemie stimmte von Anfang an. Inzwischen sind wir wirklich gute Freunde.

4. (TB) Wer steckt eigentlich hinter Kittball? Euer eigenes Output?
Kittball ist ein 100% Tube & Berger Produkt. Wir lizenzieren die Nummern und kümmern uns mit Juliet Sikora um das Label. Versuchen engagierten Künstler eine Plattform zu geben.

5. (all) Was kommt in nächster Zeit von Euch an neuen Releases?
Wir arbeiten mit Juliet gerade sehr intensiv an dem Afrika Projekt und an neuen Projekten, nächstes Jahr kommt unser Album raus und diesem November kommt unsere Nummer mit Ante Perry raus auf Moonboutique.

Über die Vermittlung renommierter Djs und Live-Acts wie Oliver Moldan, Tube & Berger oder  Mijk van Dijk berät und betreut bikini bpm aufstrebende Newcomer und unterstützt diese bei der Etablierung in der internationalen Clubszene.
